Process Engineer (Chemical)

We are seeking an enthusiastic Process Engineer for our Midland, MI office. An ideal candidate will be a proven self-starter that demonstrates strong leadership and comprehension skills. Using sound engineering practices, this role will support clients in the chemical industry.
Primary Duties and Responsibilities
Perform engineering studies, write reports, perform chemical process simulations, and develop and complete engineering calculations.
Perform or assist with the development of PFDs and P&IDs, process calculations, equipment specifications, and procurement.
Coordinate with multi-discipline engineering and design teams to complete necessary project tasks.
Assist in the creation of bid packages.
Perform field work to support the above responsibilities.
Minimum Education and Experience
Bachelor's Degree / DIRECT / 3-5
OSHA 10/30-hour Construction Certificate preferred.
Knowledge, Skills and Abilities
Exposure to chemical plants and other related industrial settings strongly preferred.
Experience with a chemical simulation program, such as ChemCAD or Aspen. Experience using Pipe Flo or AFT Fathom a plus.
Ability to work in a client-facing role while partnering with contractors and vendors.
Candidate must hold Professional Engineering license or registration tracked.
