The Account Manager is responsible for high-level relationship management and acts as client liaison during delivery of an outsourced solution, whether it is an IT or business process outsourced solution. Strategically focused and responsible for client satisfaction, maintaining client communication, and the overall management of the client relationship. Works to grow the client relationship by identifying new business opportunities. Works with delivery team to execute on contract terms and conditions and to ensure on-time delivery of projects that support the client's business. May lead special projects as assigned related to business processes designed to improve prospect and client user adoption. This role has no direct reports.
Possess an understanding of Appriss' technology strategy and be able to articulate its benefits to all customers.
Build strong relationships with the accounts in your portfolio by effectively leveraging technologies such as Gateway & Narxcare.
Entice clients by designing and delivering informative and lucrative product proposals and presentations.
Maintain an accurate client database to generate sales and client activity reports.
Initiate contact with potential clients via business development calls, face-to-face meetings, referrals and networking
Maintain and develop existing client relationships with regular phone calls and face-to-face meetings to ensure repeat business
Work as an integral part of a team, motivating one another and communicating effectively
Internally network to build business relationships and gather information that can be converted into business opportunities
Work on special projects of strategic importance under management direction
Research and identify prospective clients across multiple verticals
Research, capture, and share competitive market information
BS or BA degree in communications, education, or related field, or equivalent experience.
4 years of experience in customer service, project management, or sales.
Experience in training, community education and/or public relations.
Strong customer relationship skills
Working knowledge of Microsoft Office
Excellent written and oral communicator.
Strong organizational and customer management skills.
Helpful / Preferred
Experience working with databases such as Microsoft Office & Netsuite is preferred.
Proven willingness and ability to assume ownership of accounts.
Proven willingness and ability to make positive contributions in a team environment.
Independent worker. Ability to perform multiple tasks.
Ability to provide leadership to support the Appriss' strategy.
Some travel may be involved for both training and customer facing issues.
