Position Description: Responsible for planning,
coordinating and developing the project-specific Quality Assurance/Quality
Control (QA/QC) Plan in conjunction with the General Superintendent that
incorporates the policies and procedures necessary to deliver the project fully
compliant with the contract documents. Manage, supervise, and administer the
implementation of the project-specific QA/QC Plan. Provide guidance and serve as a resource to
project staff as a whole who are responsible for elements of the QA/QC plan.

Organizational Responsibilities:
Reports to the General Superintendent.
Responsible for planning, coordinating and
  developing the project-specific Quality Assurance/Quality Control (QA/QC)
  Plan that incorporates the policies and procedures necessary to deliver
  the project fully compliant with the contract documents. Manage,
  supervise, and administer the implementation of the project-specific QA/QC
  Plan and QA/QC staff.
Mentor staff regarding previous data center
  lessons learned, best practices and industry standards.
Staff development, training, motivation and
Leads all QA/QC phases of the project from
  procurement, engineering, coordination, installation and turnover.

Safety Responsibilities:
Ensure subcontractor compliance with Turner
  Safety Program and all applicable safety codes and regulations.
Perform Monthly SafetyNet Inspections
Conduct Critical Safe Behavior Reviews
Back up for Site Safety Manager and Superintendents
  on night shift and weekends when required
Attend, participate in daily huddles and trade
  PTP development
Implement project-specific QA/QC Plan in
  coordination with the project safety plan.
Coordinate with Site Safety Manager.

QA/QC Responsibilities:
Develop a comprehensive working knowledge and
  understanding of the contract documents (including Turner's contract,
  plans, specifications and applicable codes).
Understand the project execution plan and
  coordinate QA/QC procedures at appropriate stages of the work, in line
  with the project schedule.
Continually improve strategies and tools to
  efficiently and effectively document, track and record compliance with the
  contract documents.
Execute the project-specific QA/QC Plan in a
  manner that engages all project staff, subcontractors, vendors and
Review, understand, and assure all outlined
  Client Design Specifications and procedures are adhered to by the
  sub-contractors and project team.
Reviews mock-up/benchmark list and project specifications
  and determine required mock-ups/benchmarks for job with the
  superintendents. Coordinates with Turner project engineers to seek Owner
  and designer approval on required mock-up list and recommended
  implementation method.
Solicits, reviews, and audits subcontractor QC
Ensures Turner staff are setting up
  pre-installation, mock-up other meetings, including agendas published in
  advance of the meeting, and deliverables recorded and assigned after the
Meets with Subcontractors in special QC kick-off
  capacity to discuss Subcontractor and Turner QC plans and quality
  standards for this project in conjunction with Turner Engineering and
  Field Staff.
Submits deficiency reports to Owner weekly or
  bi-weekly as OAC attachment pending OAC frequency
Issues weekly update reports indicating
  non-conforming items of work to responsible parties
Determines if shop visits are necessary or
  beneficial. Identifies who is to
  attend and coordinates the trips amongst key players
Analyze and report the results from third-party
  testing and inspections and enter them into BIM 360 Field.
Encourages Turner engineering and field staff to
  make weekly field walks to provide another set of eyes to monitor the work
  as it goes in place
Expand the development of the plan as the project
  progresses as appropriate to expand the project by continually improving
Review and understand the Client's Start Up and
  Cx specifications and procedures. Assure they are properly integrated into
  Cx plan and activities and work in tandem with the Cx Manager.
Document all non-compliant materials and/or
  workmanship. Document compliance after corrective work is completed and
  delegate back to other Turner project staff as appropriate.
Oversight of all quality reports.
Coordinates with Owner to determine their
  expectations. Make sure the
  consultants and staff are communicating and executing those expectations
Research and apply additional QA/QC and Lean
  procedures to enhance the quality of project delivery.
Creates checklists as required for inspection of work prior to cover-up/concealment (MEP rough-in, reinforcing steel, and concrete pre-pour)
Ensure TCCO staff creates an "in-wall" backing matrix or submittal to document and verify in-wall blocking prior to wall closure
Assist with developing punch list
Has the authority to stop work if found to be in
Develops Turner work to complete lists
Identifies, enters, tracks and closes QC

Become fully versed in the requirements of the
  Owner/Turner agreement and
Administer the contract for the project
Know the subcontractors' scope and contract, and
Understand subcontractor contract requirements in
  conjunction with Turner's contract requirement with the Owner.
Review and understand project concept, Basis of
  Design, One Lines, Sequences, specifications, etc.
Learn relevant project tracking and management
Provide weekly schedule updates to Turner Project
  Scheduling Team.
Participate in daily Start Up and CX meeting.
Receive and review all start up requirements from
  each equipment manufacturer
Participate in respective portions of start-up
  and training with the Client and Cx Agent as appropriate.
Track training activities and document that they
  have been completed.
Perform other duties as required.

Qualifications: Bachelor's Degree with a minimum of five years' experience or equivalent combination of education, training and/or experience and construction experience that bridges both field and engineering responsibilities. Knowledge of the construction process, means and methods, and materials, their characteristics, installation procedures and tolerances. Strong computer skills and a familiarity with Microsoft Office Suite. Knowledge of Turner's project management software and leadership skills. Very strong verbal and written communication skills are required. Proven leadership qualities and skills with the desire to teach and mentor staff. May require QA/QC certification depending on specific project.

Work Environment: While performing the duties of this job, the employee regularly works on-site at the construction work site where the employee is exposed to moving mechanical parts; high precarious places; fumes or airborne particles; outside weather conditions and risk of electrical shock. The noise in these work environments is usually moderate to very loud.
