The Maintenance Technician is responsible for the day-to-day operations of the manufacturing plant and assumes responsibility for maintaining the physical assets of the property. This position will be responsible for a wide variety of general building maintenance, maintaining site services and manufacturing equipment repairs and services. This position reports to our 2nd shift Monday through Friday 2:00 pm - 10:00 pm with possible overtime.
This role will also pay the following retention bonuses: $500.00 in your first paycheck a $1,000.00 after 90 days employed!
Completes projects with minimal guidance showing a proactive attitude to minimizing equipment down time and lost production capability.
Troubleshoots mechanical devices in operation. Dismantles and examines devices to gain access to and remove defective parts. Adjusts, repairs or replaces defective parts.
Sets up and operates shop machinery such as lathe, drill press, grinders, band saws, cutting torch, welder. etc. Uses hand tools and pneumatic tools to modify or repair parts and equipment.
Installs new or repairs/modifies hydraulic and pneumatic equipment as needed.
Troubleshoots electrical controls including PLC's, motors and variable speed drives systems. Ability to work on power systems 480VAC and below.
Improves reliability and uptime of all equipment. Takes a proactive approach to equipment issues with a preventive maintenance mentality.
Operates forklift and hydraulic working platform as needed.
Researches supplies, parts and tools needed to complete work orders.
Assists in identifying and maintaining an accurate inventory of parts.
Contributes to upkeep and updating of required paperwork such as records, maintenance logs, documents, manuals, drawings, PM logs, etc.
Supports the vision, mission and guiding principles of the company.
Follows applicable Safety, Health and Environmental rules and guidelines while performing job duties.
Maintains departmental housekeeping.

Education and Experience
High School Diploma or equivalent. Associate's degree (A.A.) or Licensed Journeyman in lieu of degree or commensurate experience preferred.
Proven expertise in troubleshooting controls systems, electric components, pneumatic, instrumentation and mechanical devices. Proven expertise in industrial electrical, including design, sizing, installation and component level troubleshooting.
Experience in other fields of maintenance such as plumbing, refrigeration, carpentry, welding, forklift repair, etc. Competent PC (MS Office and Windows) computer skills desired.
Self-motivated with the ability to prioritize and adjust to rapid changes
