Job Description


We are looking for an architecture-trained designer responsible for supporting and executing the day-to-day production of architecture design intent documents for retail and/or restaurants. You may serve as a lead on client projects to ensure accuracy and timeliness of deliverables.


Uses AutoCAD and SketchUp to produce models and detailed architectural design intent documents for retail and restaurants
Collaborate with cross functional project team including designers, client service, merchandisers, strategists, etc.
Recognizes potential problems and recommends solutions
Collaborates with team leads to capture accurate information
Business correspondence and direct interaction with clients expected
Participates in site surveys
Reviews any adaptations needed to allow design fit within existing structure
Ensures compliance with applicable codes, standards and client requirements
Maintains required documentation of all projects and drawings generated
Ensures proper back up procedures are carried out to reduce lost data
Monitors quality, accuracy and consistency of documents, details and any graphics
Assists in the development of standards that will ensure document quality and accuracy


Bachelor's degree in Architecture, Master's degree a plus
Must have previous experience developing design intent documents for retail and restaurant environments
Excellent communication and collaboration skills
Proficiency in the application of architectural design standards, practices, techniques and concepts
High proficiency in AutoCAD
Site survey experience is a plus
Revit experience is a plus
Solid organization and time management skills
Demonstrated ability to maintain required performance level in a fast-paced environment with changing priorities and deadlines
Must have exceptional standards for quality and a strong attention to detail
Must be able to work autonomously, as well as within a team
