SUMMARYRoyal Building Products, a US building products manufacturer, has a full-time opening for a Sales Analyst in Columbus, OH. This position provides in-depth analytical and market research to the US sales organization in order to assess past performance and improve current and future business decisions. This position will be an integral role as the lead analyst for one of our four US Regions providing the unique opportunity to help drive direction and decision making in hopes of growing sales and profitability within the Region. Success in this role will be determined by the ability to provide frequent and standard reporting, while identifying, communicating and helping implement data driven recommendations in a timely manner.ESSENTIAL DUTIES AND RESPONSIBILITIESWork united with the Regional Director of Sales in identifying opportunities to exceed the annual sales budget
Produce analysis and provide sound reasoning and explanation to the Regional Director of Sales on Sales Initiatives and market evaluations
Construct ad hoc presentations and analysis for Sales Management for key customer events, internal sales presentations and target planning meetings
Provide updates on monthly market trends such as Vinyl Siding Market and Category Share, Housing Market Trends and remodeling trends
Scrutinize average sell price and gross margin trends and outline the key drivers for growth or decline
Design, develop and maintain models to evaluate business decisions, including what-if scenarios
Perform competitive research Initiatives for upper level sales management and company executives
Enhance, advance and run re-occurring monthly reports, scorecards and other analytical tools for the Directors of Sales and Sales Territory managers within the Region, highlighting current and historical sales trends
Analyzes current way of reporting and recommends changes and/or additional tools to increase efficiencies and improve reporting
Administer the commission calculation and payment against measured sales quotas
Execute annual Regional Volume Incentive programs for customer base
QUALIFICATION & SKILL REQUIREMENTSDemonstrate advanced word processing, spreadsheet, and database application skills
Results-oriented to ensure deliverables are submitted in an accurate, complete, and timely fashion
Articulates analysis in a clear and concise manner
Exhibit the ability, over time, to distill data into meaningful insights and suggestions to improve sales
Anticipates questions and prepares appropriate responses or answers
Constructively challenges business partner assumptions and goals
Skilled user of MS Office applications including Word, Excel (Pivot Tables), PowerPoint.
SUPERVISORY RESPONSIBILITIESThis position has no supervisory responsibilities. PHYSICAL DEMANDSWhile performing the duties of this job, the employee is required to stand; walk; sit; use hands to hold, handle, or feel objects, tools or controls; reach with hands and arms; climb stairs; balance; stoop, kneel, crouch or crawl; talk or hear. The employee may lift, carry and/or move up to 15 lbs. Specific vision abilities required by the job include close vision, distance vision, color vision, peripheral vision, depth perception, and the ability to adjust focus. In addition, mobility to travel between 2 facilities (North & South Plant) is required.WORK ENVIRONMENTThis position works in an open office environment with shared space. Noise level is moderate and commensurate with an office area. May be exposed to manufacturing environments on a limited bases.
