Overview




The Professional Development Specialist is the change management contact person responsible for working with business units to assess development needs and implement relevant and effective programs to develop staff, consulting with department leaders and HR's Organizational Development team.


What you will be doing




Develops a set of actionable and targeted change management plans - including a communication plan, sponsor roadmap, coaching plan, training plan, and resistance management plan
Leads the development and execution of communication/engagement plans designed to increase adoption of a new change.
Anticipates internal/external business challenges and recommends ways to successfully manifest the overall vision of the change effort
Comply with all corporate and departmental privacy and data security policies and practices, including but not limited to, Hyland's Information Systems Security Policy
Consult with the management team to identify the professional development needs of the department's employees
Serve as the connection between the department and HR's Learning & Organizational Development and Global Services' Education Services team to execute on career development initiatives
Collaborate with departmental SMEs to develop and facilitate professional and technical training
Develop job aids, facilitator/participant guides, and videos to support the learning environment
Research, evaluate, and prepare recommendations on content, instructional methods, and materials for department's professional and technical development
Coordinate classes, workshops and programs designed to promote the professional and technical development of the department
Identify vendors and educational providers for professional and technical development opportunities
Compose and distribute internal communications that promote department programs
Provide regular process improvement suggestions
Develop and facilitate training and evaluations for organizational change management standards, processes, and tools


What will make you successful




Bachelor's degree
Basic knowledge of educational theory, specifically in adult learning methods
Understanding of relevant industry practices and methodologies
Oral and written communications skills that demonstrate a professional demeanor and use a communication style appropriate to the subject and the audience
Interpersonal skills with a demonstrated history of building productive relationships and working effectively with all levels of an organization
Demonstrated ability to compose clear, concise, conversational, grammatically correct documents
Driven to learn and stay current professionally
Proficient with Microsoft Windows and Office Suite
Highly organized and experienced at successfully multi-tasking
Self-motivated with the ability to manage projects to completion with minimal oversight
Up to 5% travel time required
Or an equivalent combination of education and experience sufficient to successfully perform the principal duties of the job
