Sales Associate I - Lobby Gift Shop

Schedule: Part-time (Benefits Eligible)

Hours: Tuesdays 7:55am - 12:10pm, Thursdays 7:55am - 4:25 pm and Fridays 7:55 - 12:10pm

The Sales Associate I provides services for patients, families, visitors, and hospital staff. The Sales Associate greets every customer, determines each individual?s specific needs and fulfills those needs in a friendly, efficient manner.

Responsibilities




Demonstrate decision making and priority setting skills.
Operate independently without supervision.
Assist customers and resolve issues quickly.
Suggest and describe items to customers.
Wrap or bag purchases carefully.
Answer telephone in a friendly, timely manner and take messages accurately.
Perform any stock replenishment duties as assigned.
Maintain merchandise presentation.
Maintain storage presentation.
Operate cash register accurately and efficiently.


Qualifications




KNOWLEDGE, SKILLS AND ABILITIES REQUIRED

Ability to work independently and solve problems
Excellent math skills
Strong physical stamina
Experience operating a cash register or computer is desired
Effective communication skills.
Demonstrated Customer Service skills
High school diploma or equivalent level of education and experience

MINIMUM PHYSICAL REQUIREMENTS

Standing/walking (Constantly)
Talking in person/on phone (Constantly)
Stooping/bending (Occasionally)
Pushing/pulling (Occasionally)
Lifting/carrying up to 30 pounds (Occasionally)
