The business specializes in corrosive industrial environments to high-end office finishes for industrial and commercial facilities. This Eastside Company is seeking to hire multiple & rotating shift foreman.

Job Responsibilities & Functions

  • Mastered all the tasks of an Apprentice
    • Must have valid driver’s license and reliable transportation
    • Desire to Learn
    • Mechanical aptitude
    • Strong work ethic
    • Ability to lift 80 pounds
    • Identify safety hazards or concerns in the work place
    • Follow all relevant OSHA, company and customer safety requirements
  • Strong communication skills
  • Mastered all the tasks of a Craftsman
  • Able to load and unload equipment on work vehicles in an organized and clean manner
  • Ability to set up job and equipment:
    • Apply plastic and cover equipment
    • Hang curtains and set up containment
    • Set up spray pumps
    • HVLP
    • Airless
    • Electrostatic
    • Set up a blast pot
    • Mask off machinery
  • Ability to use spray pumps at a production rate of 500 ft²/Hour
  • Ability to brush and roll at a production rate of 250 ft² per hour
  • Knowledge and ability to use blasting equipment
  • Ability to use equipment (steam cleaner, boom lift, scissor lift, fork lift etc.)
  • Communicates with production team and team well
  • Identify safety hazards or concerns in the work place
  • Maintain a clean work environment (housekeeping)
  • Communicate with sales and administrative staff
  • Shown willingness to adapt and become a competent person
    • Demonstrates ability to continuously learn and adapt as the industry changes
  • Mastered all the tasks of a Journeyman
    • Ability to identify proper equipment to used based on size, scope and substrate of individual projects
    • Can manage a small team and run jobs safely, timely and within budget
    • Can identify paint and sundries needed for production based on scope and budget
    • Ability to set up a spider and or other suspended access products
    • Aptitude to work with scaffolding
    • Shown aptitude to troubleshoot on the job issues and come up with timely and effective solutions
    • Communicates well with foreman / customers to assure expectations are being met
    • Keeps production/estimators and division leadership informed on project progress when managing jobs
    • Shown ability to attend pre-job walkthroughs and identify production needs (Air, water, smoking areas, onsite contacts)
  • Shown an aptitude for training other experience levels
  • Has run smaller jobs timely and on budget
  • Organized, able to delegate, motivate and encourage team during production
  • Ability to run large jobs and manage larger teams safely and on budget
  • Strong communication skills with customer contacts at job sites
  • Inspect job site and identify any issues before beginning production
  • Conduct daily toolbox talks
  • Complete production reports timely and accurately
  • Complete vehicle reports
