Senior Collateral Specialist
$1,000 Sign-On Bonus after completion of 90 days with Dealertrack for offers of employmentthrough 5/31.
The schedule for this position is 9:30AM-6:00PM.
Under limited supervision, the primary functions of the Senior Collateral Specialist could include the following:
The Sr Collateral Specialist roles will cover several areas of the operations business to include, Document Management, Release Services, as well as Title Services Groups. This role will be expected to complete all responsibilities listed within their operational area, as well as the job functions of a Collateral Specialist I & II. Team members will be responsible for acting as a collateral/title specialist on behalf of our business partners, as well as being a subject matter expert and trainer.
Primary Duties/Key Responsibilities
Reply to email messages, faxes, and service tickets.
Engage customers and determine how to assist them.
Use company proprietary software for research, data entry, and account follow-up activity.
Process applications for duplicate vehicle titles, payments, or changes to vehicle titles.
Follow instructions and maintain workflow standards.
Attain production and quality goals.
Adhere to all company policies and procedures.
Process incoming title requests for maintenance on existing lender accounts
Operate mail equipment
Identify collateral documents
Execute escalated or expedited transactions
Proactive communication to support standardization and identify process gaps or required updates
Sharing observations regarding client updates to promote efficiencies
Complete State Forms
Verify collateral packets are complete for transfer of ownership based on state and client requirements
Process title for transfer of collateral on behalf of clients
Follow instructions and maintain workflow standards
Attain production and quality goals
Continual improvement through evaluation of processes and procedures
Be subject matter expert for all areas of the team/department
Research state requirements and process rejected transactions
Resolve escalated issues
Respond to customer inquires regarding services, processes, report and complaints
Train other team members
Perform other duties as necessary
Ability to work a flexible schedule as needed, including occasional mandatory overtime
Required Experience & Specialized Knowledge and skills
HSD, GED, or equivalent work experience;
Generally 5 years of related experience, or equivalent;
Excellent verbal and written communication skills;
Knowledge of how to operate a PC, telephone, fax, scanner, and photocopier;
Intermediate knowledge of PC software applications (i.e., MS Office, Excel, and Outlook)
Data entry skills, ability to type 35 WPM or greater with 99.6% accuracy;
PREFERRED: Ten-key skills for payment transactions team; knowledge of client requirements for DMV and related documents; knowledge of various state DMV forms and their use by the company; knowledge of company proprietary software; knowledge of state abbreviations.
