Our DevOps Engineer will be responsible for the following:
Collaborate with product teams, operations, and architects to build and support deployment pipelines and strategies.
Identifies interdependencies and productivity barriers between the development and operations functions.
Identifies opportunities to automate processes to improve scalability, repeatability, and efficiency.
Create, document, improve, DevOps practices, toolsets, and processes.
Standardizes change, validation, and deployment processes to reduce complexity and maintain change tracking
3+ years of DevOps or related, experience.
A demonstrated understanding of DevOps processes and tools.
Experience in application development with C# (or a similar language).
Proficiency with of Microsoft SQL or similar relation databases.
Proficiency with virtualization technologies. E.G. VMWare.
Experience with Cloud platforms. E.G. Azure, AWS.
Proficiency with containers and orchestration platforms.
Proven ability to evaluate existing or implement new processes.
Must have excellent interpersonal skills. E.G. Excellent communicator and collaborator.
Must be an excellent problem solver.
Experience creating workflow diagrams.
Experience creating, documenting, and owning processes.
Experience with integration, automation and cloud technologies.
Experience in creating scalable solutions.
Proficient with Windows operating systems and Office tools.
Strong project management skills, including how to work with deadlines and how to estimate the duration of a project.
Ability to effectively communicate with co-workers, supervisors, managers, sales representatives, and outside vendors.
Must have a "can-do" attitude.
Is flexible to work outside of normal business hours.
Is a highly motivated, well-organized, self-starter desiring an opportunity to grow both technically and professionally.
This position requires the execution of an Employment Agreement contract between Kimball-Midwest and the employee.
This job requires troubleshooting and collaborating with product developers and operations engineers, as well as other members of the IT Department.
Must have ability to effectively pivot tasks and multitask.
