Riverside Research is seeking a full time or part time Radio Frequency Signal Processing Engineer in the Dayton, OH area. This individual will develop algorithms, tools and signal processing techniques for RF systems.
This position will advance the state-of-the-art in attaining position, navigation, and timing (PNT) of platforms using 1-way and 2-way data links. The work is part of a team that analyzes customer signal processing requirements, performs the simulations, programs additional capabilities as necessary, and supports our customers.

Job Responsibilities:
In this position you will use your understanding of standards, concepts, best practices, and techniques to develop C++ software and test benches for established architectures to process and display streaming data from satellite and airborne systems (GPS, Galileo, GLONASS, BeiDou, Comm). Additionally, you will:
* Enhance software data flow for equivalent effects on different signal processing platforms
* Develop collaborative relationships with Government customers and other mission partners

Required Qualifications:
* Bachelor's Degree in Computer Science or other STEM field
* At least 3 years of professional experience developing software in C++ or other object oriented language
* At least 3 years of professional experience in Signal Processing of streaming data
* At least 1 year of professional experience in processing complex (IQ) data streams from RF or baseband sources
* Demonstrated experience working as part of team
* Ability to manage time independently without direct supervision
* Support the security clearance process (active clearance is desired but not required)
* Excellent written and verbal communication skills

Desired Qualifications:
* Experience in signal processing of GNSS or other RF waveforms
* Experience working in the Red Hawk software defined radio (SDR) environment
* Experience with Open System Architectures
* Experience with Ettus USRPs and other RF digitizers and synthesizers
* Familiarity with waveforms (GPS, DVB, WiFi, etc.), and standards based testing (IEEE 1588, IEEE 1057)
