Woolpert'sContract Specialistsupport requests For Proposals (RFPs), contracting for Woolpert as both Prime and Sub, contracting with Woolpert subcontractors, andTeaming Agreements and NDA's and assist with contract reviews and modification. The Contract Specialist will work closely with Senior Risk Management Leadersand Practice Leaders,Program Directors, andProject Managers in a supportive role.
BA/BS and five (5) years of related professional experience or ten (10) years of related professional experience.
Knowledge of pricing and cost proposals for professional service
Reading, analyzing, and interpreting contractual documents.
Adobe products, database management software and the Internet
Preferred experience or knowledge:
Preparing contract labor rates for pricing development for selected State prime and subcontractor agreements according to the individual State's requirements.
Providing proposal support regarding information needed for annual certification/pre-qualification submittals.
Updating small business vendor list and identifies preferred vendors.
Promoting small business usage and awareness and educates firm's personnel on the importance of using small businesses and supplier diversity and recommending small business firms to firm's personnel for teaming on federal and state pursuits.
Researching topics and staying up to date with federal and state legal regulation database.
Willingness to travel to Ohio for work whileadheringto safety standards, candidates residing in Ohio will be givenpreference.
Willingness to undergo a background,verification.and drug screening processes.
Review contract requirements as negotiated, including options, renewals and compliance activities from a risk management perspective.
Review contract terms and conditions, subcontract/teaming agreements, non-disclosure agreements and coordinate with Senior risk managementLeaders, as needed.
Assist proposals in preparing and reviewing any risk managementresponses for federal state, and local government proposals or private entity proposals including litigation history, insurance requirements, Woolpert Representation and Certifications, and terms and conditions exceptions.
Review the contracts and help support market leaders to negotiate terms to align with ourbusiness.
Ability to provide excellent customer service across broad and dynamic platform.
Strong technical proficiency required, including Microsoft Office products
Excellent written and verbal communication skills
Strong organizational, time management, attention to detail and analytical skills
Ability to work independently, as well as in a team environment.
Strong curiosity to seek better efficiencies, professionally challenge norms, and drive better practices and processes.
