Saint-Gobain Life Sciences is a business within the High Performance Solutions Sector, which is spear-heading the advancement of innovation within the Group. Life Sciences is a recognized leader in the advanced polymer technology market with access to state-of-the-art manufacturing and research & development facilities around the world.

Under the guidance of the Program Manager for New Businesses and Market Development, the Marketing Research Associate is responsible for extensive secondary and primary research to identify new growth opportunities within the Life Sciences division. This function combines secondary research with data analysis and synthesis to provide integrated insights. The individual will be expected to complete comprehensive market mapping reports from a commercial, scientific and technical perspective for various life science markets, identify emerging trends in specific markets, monitor competitive landscapes and leverage internal and external resources to assist in identifying new business opportunities in Life Science markets.

The individual will need to interface with a wide range of individuals, internal and external, domestic and international. This position will support multiple business units within the Life Sciences group to identify and validate new market opportunities. The individual will have to work with a cross functional team of engineers, research scientists, marketing managers, sales managers to identify actionable objectives and tasks based on the opportunity assessment.


  REQUIRED QUALIFICATIONS
 

 
Bachelor's Degree in Biomedical Engineering, Chemical Engineering or Chemistry or Materials Science or Polymer Science is preferred
2+ years in a market research, consulting, marketing or technical assessment roles
High-level proficiency in Microsoft Excel, Word and PowerPoint and ability to work with various digital platforms
Strong skills on oral and writing communication and data analysis
Analytical and problem solving skills
Ability to manage multiple projects/tasks to hard deadlines
Ability to work independently, demonstrate good judgement, prioritize tasks, and collaboratively work with the diversified teams
Project Management experience would be considered a bonus
