Job Overview


Under general supervision from a designated administrator, will serve an integral role in supporting an environment that adheres to federally mandated accessibility guidelines. Incumbent will work with a core team to audit and provide remediation recommendations for systems, sites and services and will be integral in ensuring UCit provides services that decrease rework, provide high quality to our customers, and ensure university sponsored systems and services meet accessibility guidelines and the institution's commitment to universal design.

Essential Functions



Test new systems and system modifications to ensure adherence with accessibility standards.
Develop testing programs that address areas such as regression testing, negative testing, error or bug retests, or usability.
Document defects using a bug tracking system and report defects to responsible parties and project managers.
Identify, analyze, and document problems with program function, output, display, or content.
Monitor bug resolution efforts and track successes.
Create or maintain repositories of known test defects.
Plan test schedules and strategies in accordance with project scope and delivery dates.
Participate in product design reviews, providing input on functional requirements, product designs, schedules, and potential problems.
Review software documentation to ensure technical accuracy, compliance and completeness.
Other duties as assigned.

Minimum Requirements



Bachelor's degree -OR- Associate's degree and a minimum of two (2) years of experience within General Information Technology or a related field, or four (4) years of related experience.
A minimum of two (2) years of relevant experience within Information Technology and/or Quality Assurance and direct customer care.
Outstanding communication and collaboration skills, as this role requires working with a wide range of customers.

Additional Qualifications Considered



Working knowledge of Waterfall and Agile/Scrum software development methodologies.
Familiarity with all aspects of Quality Assurance testing of software systems and application, including functional, integration and regression testing.
Working knowledge of designing and documenting test strategy, test plans, test cases, acceptance criteria and user stories
Basic knowledge of Test automation and Test automation tools and frameworks
Understanding of Web Content Accessibility Guidelines (WCAG) Compliance auditing & reporting
Understanding of Information Security scanning & remediation support
Working knowledge of Atlassian Jira for tasks and defects management
