Job Overview:

TheLabel Engineeris responsible for getting specifications and data from the customer and Customer Service, making sure it is correct, printable, and meets all our standards. They are responsible for color, from checking the customer proof profile, to calling out the correct tooling and curves.TheLabel Engineerisalso responsible for entering specifications into MCC's business systemsandwillwork with the other Graphics areas to ensure good product is produced.An ideal candidate is someone with print manufacturing experience, is an exceptional communicator, and has intimate knowledge on planning andprinting specifications.

Job Duties:

Plan and engineer jobs for multiple printing processes and departments.

Responsible for print quality,sequence,and ensuring requirements can be met effectively.

Selectprint tooling and prepress based on customer needs, create and manage master estimates.

Provide pre-production direction to assure prepress and printing accuracy.

Support a customer-centered culture at the plant, including plant tours, color matching,&pressruns.

Optimize layout and color separation of jobs to maximize production efficiency.

Uses Radius&WebCentersoftware to plan, manage, & prioritize items through the item process flow.

Determine product specifications such as tooling requirements, label dimensions,ink types, etc.

Related duties as assigned.

Experience/Skills Required:

High school education or equivalent.

Exhibits a safety-first attitude in all that is done, from proper personal protection equipment compliance to keeping the work environment safe and hazard-free. Compliance with all workplace and safety standards required.

Excellent communication skills with the ability to translate technical information into actionable tasks.

Intimate knowledge in preparing / planning artwork for high-volume printing.

Knowledge of color separations, press layouts, print specifications, tooling, and tooling application.

Self-starter with strong organizational and planning skills.

Possess skills to prioritize, multi-task, and work in a fast-paced environment.
