CLINICAL RESEARCH ASSISTANT: Assists in all phases of clinical research as needed, included but not limited to: collecting background literature, data entry, assembling patient listings, clinical study management and IRB document submission/maintenance, Informed Consent Process, specimen collection, processing, storage and shipping. Uses personal computer for word processing, computer graphics, data entry. Assists in preparation of presentations at scientific meetings. Communicates effectively with customers such as residents, physicians, patients and families and other support staff to faciitate the completion of research projects. Staff in this position have the ability to work at all sites where research is conducted within TriHealth. Travel between sites may be required. Staff in this position may be required to work in other research specialties other than the one for which they are hired. Staff in this position must be available to cover the needs of the department which may be 7am-7pm. Staffing needs and hours are determined by amount and kind of studies the department has at any given time.
EDUCATION: High School Degree BLS/CPR (Basic Life Support for Healthcare Providers) BLS/CPR (Basic Life Support for Healthcare Providers)
EXPERIENCE: Up to 1 year Clinical Healthcare; Oncology and / or research background desired
SPECIALIZED KNOWLEDGE: Medical Terminology, basic computer skills, phlebotomy.
