Job Summary




Our organization's systems are evolving rapidly to leverage the latest technologies as we continue to exceed the needs of our customers, and we are currently seeking a full-time Systems Architect to join our Architecture team. The Systems Architect will collaborate closely with development teams and subject matter experts to design solutions for enhancements, integrations, migrations and other system needs. Additionally, the Systems Architect will research new technologies including the building of prototypes to identify and prove business value in the application of new technologies to our systems. Strong aptitude toward designing detailed solutions for systems and passion for technology are essential for this role. Responsibilities




Oversee the design process for application software;
Implement and recommend viable architectural approaches that support long term maintainability, extensibility, and interoperability of enterprise applications;
Identify and evaluate potential risks in systems in relation to data integrity, security and disaster recovery;
Provide clear guidance to software development teams regarding software development patterns and proactively monitor the adherence to accepted patterns;
Contribute to the shared private code repositories after aggregating feedback from the software development teams;
Maintain a versioning and governance approach to private code repositories, and ensure that applications are leveraging this code as appropriate;
Build and test application prototypes;
Liaise with software development teams to craft, automate, build, and release pipelines;
Conduct code reviews, security reviews, and architectural reviews, and provide solutions/improvements, as necessary; and
Complete other projects and responsibilities as assigned.


Qualifications




Bachelor's Degree in Computer Science and 6 years of software development and/or IT Infrastructure experience, including experience with software architecture practices, design patterns development, and implementation;
Work-related experience with the following technologies and tools:
Cloud Architecture (Microsoft Azure a plus)
IDaaS
Microsoft Visual Studio
ASP.NET Core
GraphQL
Microsoft Azure DevOps

Demonstrated expertise with software development practices and rolling out new software technologies and solutions;
Demonstrated ability to analyze business issues/opportunities and develop and implement IT initiatives that support organizational goals;
Demonstrated ability to manage and/or consult on large-scale IT projects; and
Ability to communicate professionally and persuasively with all levels in the organization, including management.
