We have an opportunity for a Business Development Representative. This is a remote-based position. You will work across multiple sales channels to develop and grow our authorized service provider network. This role will be a part of a new team that will grow revenue by sourcing new providers and working with our existing dealers to drive sales cooperation. This is a fast paced role with approximately 50% + weekday travel. This role will be a part of a team that will drive sales for a new service offering for Pentair.
Develop intelligence-based campaigns to prospective businesses utilizing company specific research, customized and targeted messaging and outreach communications.
Manage the lead development process of qualifying prospective business opportunities and serve as the liaison for logistics and onsite visits for prospective business leads.
Screens potential business opportunities by analyzing market strategies, requirements, potential, evaluating options; resolving internal priorities.
Assists in closing new business opportunities by coordinating requirements; developing contracts; integrating contract requirements with business operations.
Work with dealers and service providers to grow the Pentair service provider network and gain market share in the dealer's given territory/area/state.
Work with the Dealer Development Rep team to build out a new sales channel through a strong dealer network.
Work cross functionally with marketing team to build out necessary supporting materials for the dealer program,
Work alongside the wholesale channel team to drive sales from the dealer level to wholesale distribution partners.
Have earned at least a Bachelor's Degree (B.A.,B.S.) or equivalent
Have 3+ years of experience in distribution sales
Have outside sales experience OR 4+ years inside sales experience with component and system based manufacturing
Be proficient with Microsoft office suite
Have strong presentation skills
Have prior sales experience
Excellent communication skills
Be a self-driven individual contributor
Excellent written skills
Ability to travel by airplane for up to one week at a time
