The Internship will assist with projects related to pigments for cosmetics applications for the Effect Pigments laboratory. Work will include the lab-scale manufacture and testing the physical and chemical properties of these pigments. Additional work will include formulating these pigments into cosmetic applications, with subsequent performance testing.
At the end of this Internship, you should have learned new techniques with respect to the manipulation of colloidal materials and their application in cosmetics. This experience will also provide a real-world research experience with the opportunity to work collaboratively with scientists on projects.
Understanding of basic lab chemistry techniques for testing and synthesis, with the desire to learn additional processes.
Basic data analysis using MS Excel.
Pursuit of a bachelor's degree with a focus in Chemistry/Physical Science.
Completion of Organic Chemistry course and lab work is required, with more advanced chemistry courses a plus.
