Job Overview

In collaboration with students and stakeholders, the Division of Student Affairs at the University of Cincinnati (UC) strives to cultivate an inclusive campus experience. The Division of Student Affairs values an accessible culture of academic success, engaging relationships and experiences, holistic development, and intentional student advocacy. UC is seeking a Program Manager for Student Activities & Leadership Development (SALD), a full-time professional staff member reporting the Assistant Director of SALD. This person will be a key team member in supporting Registered Student Organizations, student leaders, and student organization advisors.

The PM will advise both the University Funding Board that allocates the designated funding to more than 300+ registered student organizations (RSOs) and the Undergraduate Student Government Treasurer. The Program Manager will also provide additional registered student organization support including risk management planning. They will develop and deliver a variety of different trainings for students and advisors. The PM will also provide support to student governance organizations, including Student Government cabinet and tribunals.

Essential Functions

Manage, design, develop, modify and present programs. Perform program needs assessment and make recommendations.
Implement policies and procedures.
Maintain budget, prepare contracts, approve and monitor expenditures, prepare budget requests and financial reports.
Act as liaison to internal departments, external entities and community organizations.
May prepare and edit reports and/or newsletters and develop publication materials.
May provide direct and/or indirect supervision to exempt and non-exempt staff (i.e., hiring/firing, performance evaluations, disciplinary action, approve time off, etc.).
Perform related duties based on departmental need. This job description can be changed at any time.

Required Education

Bachelor's Degree.
Seven (7) years of relevant work experience and/or other specialized training can be used in lieu of education requirement.

Required Experience

Three (3) years of experience in program development or business administration.
May require supervision experience.

Physical Requirements/Work Environment

Office environment/no specific unusual physical or environmental demands.
