As the Senior Training Program Manager, you will beresponsible for development, implementation and management of comprehensive, integrated training strategies and programs to support and to drive a learning culture at all levels of the organization that delivers business results.In this role, you will consult with functional leadership to understand business priorities and design learning and development programs accordingly. You willimplement the strategy, through the design, development and management of programs and processes. This senior level role is a high level contributor, who works independently and/or collaboratively on complex projects and is seen as a resource and expert to the organization and team.
Planning and Delivering Training Programs
Design life cycle training programs
Assist/collaborate with Marketing in delivering product/application training by coordinating and consulting on how to improve effectiveness of content delivery
Develop and implement an Advancement Into Management (AIM) programto ready identified employees forleadership
Collaborate with business leadership and HR to support talent development through the identification of meaningful development assignments
Identify and build partnerships/agreements with third party global training organizations, aligning with Talent Development
Delivers sales skill training and develop a "train the trainer" program to expand reach and further support career development
Build knowledge and understanding of Life Sciences industry and Customers in order to deliver relatable/creditable training material
Ensuremeasurement oftransfer of learning and performance improvement are included in any offering where skill improvement can be measured.
Coordinate with STERIS University to define a method to systematically offer and repeat curriculum, including required record-keeping.
Develop and execute periodic needs assessment including the input of relevant stakeholders, and available information sources. Propose training needs and initiatives.
Working with leadership and individual contributors, identify training initiatives that will reduce by a meaningful amount the assimilation time of new sales and leadership employees. Identify a metric and implement a tracking method to report on the success of these initiatives.
Bachelor's Degree in Organization Development or Business
Bachelor's degree in a related field (i.e. Training/Development, OD, HR, Business, Education).
7+ years of hands on experience building and implementing development strategies and solutions with a focus on improving employee and leadership capability in a global company
Previous sales experience preferred
Interpersonal skills necessary to influence and negotiate across business leaders to secure priorities, direction and resources in a multiple-client environment.
Proven training program design and demonstratedproject andprocess management skills
Excellent platform presentation, oral and written communication skills to includedelivery, coaching and facilitation skills
Ability to work both independently and collaboratively to achieve business objectives with limited guidance
Ability to grasp and learn basic-to-complex scientific and technical information to the extent necessary to develop training tools.
Ability to travel domestically and internationally up to 25%
A bias towards developing interactive, engaging training interventions that are relevant to multiple learning styles and the diverse generational demographic found in the STERIS workforce.
Proficient in Microsoft Office Suite (Word, PowerPoint, Excel)
