CORE RESPONSIBILITIES AND TASKS

The GSC Planning and Reporting Project team is primarily responsible for the execution of domestic and international system implementations, which involves substantial interaction with the PCG and CBG divisions, as manufacturing plants and distribution centers move onto our ledger. This position assists in developing reporting, as well as, implementing system/hierarchy enhancements to support the Global Supply Chain business requirements.

Prepare and execute strategies to improve the division's reporting of global operations. Specific areas amongst others include:

Implementing Oracle R12 global ERP's that follow the SW global standards and practices

Develop and Maintain Oracle's Enterprise Performance Management (EPM) entity hierarchy, combine memo and ledger, to standardize across the global

Ensuring Inventory, Accounts Payable, and Fixed Assets adhere to Global Standards

Utilize Oracle Business Intelligence Enterprise Edition (OBIEE) to compile volume metrics, standardize global reporting and logic

Standardize Global Headcount and Reporting utilizing Oracle Based GEMS (global employee management system)

Standardize Manufacturing, Warehousing, and Freight expense and Operational variances

Assist International Planning and Reporting with Operating Plan and Monthly Reporting

Cost of Poor-Quality /Opportunity metrics

Ensure Global Supply Chain non-ledger reported global operations is complete and accurate

Segregate financial activity within commercial divisions' ledgers for "Memo" reported operations

Make sure all financial activity is reported under the correct division code within the commercial divisions' ledgers

Lead ledger integration projects migrating non-ledger reported operations into the division's financial results

Lead ops division code ownership move to GSC

Ensure Oracle data feeds get pointed to GSC instead of the commercial divisions

Design division entity reporting hierarchy to accommodate changes

Prepare and load financial restatements to appropriately report divisions and segments

Calculate and load restatements

Ensure other stakeholders complete restatements in their area of responsibility

POSITION REQUIREMENTS

FORMAL EDUCATION: (GENERALLY, IF RELEVANT EXPERIENCE IS ACCEPTABLE, THE CANDIDATE MUST HAVE THREE YEARS OF WORK EXPERIENCE FOR EVERY ONE YEAR OF COLLEGE EDUCATION REQUIRED)

Required:

Bachelor's degree in Accounting or Finance or Bachelor's degree in Business Administration with a focus in Accounting or Finance

Preferred:

Master's degree in Accounting or Finance or an MBA with a focus in Accounting or Finance

CPA or CMA Certification

KNOWLEDGE & EXPERIENCE:

Required:

3-5 years financial experience

Experience with international ledgers and a multi-organization structure

Experience with EPM ad hoc analysis and data loads

Experience with operating plan process

Preferred:

Understanding of GSC division and entity reporting structure

Understanding of the GSC division memo reporting model

Understanding of Valspar accounting and/or Oracle 11i to Oracle R12 account mapping

Experience leading large complex project

Financial experience in financial planning & reporting or supply chain accounting

International Accounting experience

Exposure and understanding of the principles of Transactional Lean and Six Sigma

Understanding of the GSC division memo reporting model

Ability to speak multi languages

TECHNICAL/SKILL REQUIREMENTS:

Required:

Strong work ethic

Ability to problem solve complex financial situations

Advanced skill with Microsoft Excel

Clear and concise communication in verbal and written form

Microsoft Office

Knowledge of arithmetic, algebra, calculus, statistics, and their application to solve a problem

Strong presentation skills

Ability to arrange information according to specific rule(s)

Ability to manage priorities in a fast-paced work environment

Team player

Preferred:

Working knowledge of Oracle Essbase and Excel Smartview tool
