We are looking for aPrepress and Quality Control Specialistto Join our Demo and Benchmark department in Dayton, OH.
As aPrepress and Quality Control Specialist,you will work with our digital print team in helping to showcase and promote our digital print solutions.
Key accountabilities include:
Determine appropriate software in which to open a customer file (Illustrator, Photoshop, InDesign) and quickly visualize if customer file will work to optimize lead time.
Work with sales force to promptly address discrepancies or issues with customer art or job information.
Work with the production team to produce exceptional samples and benchmark proofs to be used to close sales and verify reproducible results on press.
Prepare vision and description of how product will look in field prior to completion (set-up file)
Able to process files through Prinergy and understand its uses to maximize efficiency.
Create mock-ups which vet feasibility of customer requests.
Producing accurate job instructions and details; correct material choices/amounts
Reverse engineer products from original design or sample and oversee completion of finished product.
Proficient in Microsoft Office Suite, Adobe Creative Cloud software, including Illustrator, Photoshop and InDesign
Able to seamlessly adapt and prepare files for multiple print technologies and workflows.
Build and maintain color profiles for new substrates as well as immerging technologies.
Candidates should have a thorough knowledge of the digital printing and color management process. The position requires the composure to cope with change and the ability to make decisions without having the total picture.
