Job Description


The Business System Analyst supports the development of products within the product line. They report to the Product Manager and are responsible for maximizing the value of the product resulting from the work of the Development Team. They are technical experts for their products.

Key Responsibilities

Solicits, understands, and documents the customer's business requirements, processes and workflows developing both written and visual depictions of requirements and process flows in an agile methodology
Responsible for backlog grooming, daily scrums, sprint and release planning, agile requirements (user stories etc.), user acceptance testing and other SDLC activities
Works with developers to create the functional specifications that meet the requirements,
Serves as a subject matter expert to the developers building those functions
Work with the QA team to initially test the developed functionality
Works closely with other BSAs, developers, testers, and production support through each stage of the software development lifecycle
Responsible for user acceptance testing
Attends all agile and scrum meetings to ensure that development work is aligned with the roadmap set by the product manager
Answers questions from developers and clarifies requirements
Supports product managers in deliverables such as roadmaps, competitive analysis, prototypes, product assessments, product performance measurement


Bachelor's degree in engineering required.
5+ years in healthcare commercial product development preferred with identified responsibility as a Business System Analyst
A strong Background in agile product delivery and working with agile product teams are key
Experienced with agile methodologies and tools such as confluence and Jira
Experience with high volume data systems and has worked in a regulatory environment.
Strong interpersonal communication skills
Technologically proficient in agile development processes

Helpful / Preferred

Technical Background in interfaces and product integration in a highly regulated environment
Prior experience working with remote teams


Some travel may be involved for both training and customer facing issues.
