Imaging Processing Operator will pull, prepare, and scan the remaining paper files into electronic files to support the Department of Labor Black Lung program achieve their goal. The Image Processing Operator(IPO) On-Call - provides image processingoperations in support of the Government Client Department of Labor. Working hours are Mondays-Fridays, 8.5-hour workday with an unpaid 1/2-hour unpaid lunch break. No nights or weekend hours available. They fill in for full-time employees needing time off. Similar to substitute teacher roles. Individuals working On Call will be considered first for all vacant full-time position before being advertised. Hourly wage: $14.50 paid by weekly.
Monitors the day-to-day activities of the imaging process and equipment.
Preparation, scanning, and quality control of all documents.
Schedule's production runs to be completed on time.
Monitors and operates the control console in accordance with operating instructions.
Responding to operating andoutput instructions.
Review's error messages and makes corrections during operation.
Performs problem resolution by:
Determines the cause of failure.
Determines the best course of action to bring the system back into operation.
Refers problems to the Site Manager when not capable of resolving the problem.
Advises and assists operators on procedures to correct functional problems.
Notifies appropriate servicing personnel of all hardware/software difficulties.
Maintainsa log of downtime on associated equipment and software.
Interacts with computer operators and customers regarding job set up, work performed, and job status to achieve desired results.
Performs related duties as assigned to best serve the customer.
High School Diploma or equivalent preferred.
Must be able to work onsite a consistent8.5-hour shift (1/2 hr. unpaid lunch) Monday-Friday or as requested.
Must be able to pass a Governmentbackground check.
Working knowledge of PC, imaging, computers, etc. operation, practices, and procedures.
Completed a data entry operator course involving use of a computer terminal screen and demonstrates high speed, accurate typing capabilities or 1+ years of work experience as a data entry operator which includes: routine and repetitive tasks; following specific procedures or detailed instructions, working from various standardized source documents which have been coded and require little or no selecting, coding or interpreting of data to be entered; erroneous items, codes, or missing information.
This job requires the ability to operate a computer keyboard, distinguish colors on a color monitor.
Ability to bend, twist and lift items weighing up to 25 pounds from packing cartons onto a desk.
Basic office skills are required.
Excellent communication skills (oral, written)
Candidate must be proficient in the English.
