Provide oversight to all aspects of the Nathaniel R. Jones Center for Race, Gender, and Social Justice with the exception of the Domestic Violence/Civil Protection Order (DV/CPO) Clinic.
Develop and implement programming focused on issues of race, gender, sexuality, class and their intersections for students, faculty, alumni, and the community.
Grow and build on existing Jones Center programs; initiate and implement new Jones Center programs.
Maintain connections/communication with Women's Gender & Sexuality Studies (WGSS) joint degree students and faculty (law faculty will continue to direct the joint degree program on the "law" side).
Raise funds to support new and existing projects. Research and apply for applicable grants. Develop resources and raise funds to support and expand the DV/CPO Clinic.
Explore and assess different publication options and platforms to showcase social justice research and writing.
Develop support and resources for both ongoing and/or new community-based research projects and facilitate/coordinate research opportunities for Social Justice Fellows.
Work with admissions staff to select Social Justice Fellows during each admissions cycle, establish a formal mentoring program for Fellows, and work with Fellows to complete the Fellowship requirements (which include coursework and community-based research).
Optimize the Jones Center website and social media presence.
Serve as the key Jones Center contact for students, faculty, alumni, and the community, including other national and international scholars and non-law faculty at the University of Cincinnati.
May provide direct and/or indirect supervision to exempt and non-exempt staff (i.e., hiring/firing, performance evaluations, disciplinary action, approve time off, etc.).

J.D. or law-related PhD
Five (5) years of experience working in public interest and/or social justice related fields.
Additional Qualifications Considered
Demonstrated leadership experience, including in program development and implementation.
Excellent interpersonal skills and high level of emotional intelligence, including the ability to work with others from diverse backgrounds and with diverse perspectives.
Proven commitment to social justice advocacy.
