POSITION SUMMARY:
The Senior Sector Specialists will deliver advanced technical support to the Diversey, Inc. Food and Beverage customer base, internal as well as external. This individual could reside anywhere in the United States -- not limited to the locations listed.The ideal candidate will have advanced knowledge of food and beverage industry processing as well as current technical and quality knowledge associated with these industries. Trouble shooting at customer facilities, audits, Industry association involvement, business development, and training are the primary functions. Support for the sales process includes identification and communication of identified value propositions in both existing and prospective customers.

RESPONSIBILITIES:

Presentations to Technical Associations as a technical representative of Diversey F&B. Must be comfortable in public speaking environment

Detailed written reports required to capture the value as well as technical points of worked performed. Must be proficient in MS Word, Power Point and Excel

Accompany sales team on plant/customer assessments and be capable of communicating Diversey F&B value propositions as well as identifying opportunities within a prospects account to deliver such value.

Conduct classroom or web based training platforms as required by manager or sector leads.

Applications and process trouble shooting at customer facilities including: brewing, beverage, dairy, processed food & pharmaceutical to name a few

Perform plant audits related to chemical usage and applications, food safety / GMP's, employee competency related to sanitation practices as well as automated cleaning process efficacy and related sustainability impacts.

To be responsible for ensuring sales teams are properly trained and aware of business innovations, new projects, products and applications as well as of business related technical trends through the implementation of selected training programs;

Microbiological trouble shooting at customer facilities. Must be able to identify testing locations and microbiological test to be performed. Must be able to interpret and discuss testing results with confidence and insight. Co-ordination of tests and results with laboratory also required.

To lead/assist startups of new accounts on the Diversey chemical program.

Conduct application troubleshooting for major customers or key customer projects

To lead/assist in the roll out on new innovations developed by Diversey engineering and R&D

Be proficient in the use of field level analysis tools as part of troubleshooting and validating cleaning and hygiene protocols including but not limited to; ultrasonic flow meter, conductivity meters, FLIR temperature devices, borescope, ATP, and quantitative/qualitative air analysis equipment

To develop and manage new and existing relations with local authorities and control bodies, Industry technical forums and business related associations as needed

To conduct market and competitors analysis, customer segmentation and white spot analysis;

To actively lead the process of identifying customer performance gaps and how to address them using corrective action reports

Provide internal vertical feedback on innovation and sector requirements.

Support F&B NAM sales teams in solving cleaning and food safety issues - (CIP, OPC, microbiology etc.)

Provide support and training to all F&B customers to resolve issues and educate staff.

Take on lead technical roles with specific corporate customers to solidify and grow C&S business.

To acquire in depth understanding of key customer processes that allows them to identify existing and potential cleaning & hygiene sustainable solutions, Total Cost of Operation (TCO) savings;

Key interface between laboratory / R&D personnel and field sales.

Execution of the Knowledge Based Services (KBS) catalogue. These are programs that can be deployed as billable services to existing as well as prospective customers.

REQUIRED QUALIFICATIONS:

15+ years of experience in the food production industry and Bachelor's Degree in relevant field required (food science, microbiology, food processing engineering, chemistry, etc.)

Solid working knowledge of specific industry sectors and the processing equipment used. This should include Dairy, Beverage, Brewing, Pharma, Processed Foods, Red Meat, Poultry, Pork. Systems should include; CIP systems, chemical feed equipment, OPC systems, filling equipment (aseptic/sterile/standard), separators, clarifiers, homogenizers, evaporators, dryers, protein processing, Intervention systems, fruit and veggie, flumes, membranes (UF, NF, MF, RO),

Fluent in English and local languages as needed - French, Spanish

Capable to use and manage the Microsoft Office package (Word, Excel and Powerpoint)

Have the ability to travel internationally

ADDITIONAL QUALIFICATIONS:

Problem solving skills

Cleaning and Hygiene issues on customer sites will need to be resolved ensuring that commercial interests of Diversey are balanced with need for customer driven solutions. This will entail both technical and "commercial" solutions to problems in consultation with sales force

Ensuring that global or regional programs can be implemented within the region to ensure the integrity of the program and relevance to the conditions

May have to deal with priority setting to ensure that the speed customer issues are dealt with is aligned with business focus areas

Dealing with hostility from the customer as the normal course of events if support is called in when things have gone wrong and solutions are urgently required

IT applications and systems

Experience of leading internal and external training

Experience of auditing

Experience in the numerous food industry segments (brewing, beverage, processed foods, dairy, aseptic)

Commercial /sales experience

Project management

Workflow / process management

Chemical knowledge / raw material understanding - as it relates to the F&B NAM business segment.

Knowledge of Diversey Professional cleaning applications
