Work Hours: Full-time (based on a 37.5 hour work week)

Position Summary:

This position reports to the Senior Director of Constituent Events for the Greater Cincinnati Chapter and will play a key role in achieving budgetary and strategic goals as part of the Alzheimer's Association's strategic plan.  As a member of the development team, this position will manage the Walk to End Alzheimer's for Butler, Warren & Clinton Counties and Southeast Indiana. This includes recruitment of committee members, volunteers, team captains, participants, securing sponsors and coaching participants in fundraising to all to achieve budget goals as set.

Responsibilities:

Essential functions and responsibilities include, but are not limited to:

Responsible for achieving revenue targets and expense budgets with direct accountability for goals set forth in the annual budget for the Walk to End Alzheimer's Butler, Warren & Clinton Counties and Southeast Indiana.
Develop and follow a comprehensive plan that includes budgets, timelines, team recruitment, retention and sponsorship strategies, volunteer committee development, marketing/PR and logistics.
Ensure high level leadership volunteer committees are recruited, trained and developed using timelines and best practices established through our national office, resulting in the attainment of income goal and team goals.
Works with Senior Director of Constituent Events to ensure Walk focus and benchmarks are in line with the state/region.
Work with both Walk volunteer planning committee to organize outreach activities that promote the Alzheimer's Association mission and services, including community presentations and corporate engagement opportunities (virtual if needed).
Responsible for fostering relationships between committee members, subcommittee chairs and chairs, including but not limited to providing training and tools for success.

Collaborates with other key departments/chapters to ensure cross promotion, and support of, organizational goals and/or messages.
Utilizes available resources to maximize event results and participates in webinars, conference calls and/or trainings offered by the Association.

Qualifications:

Associate's degree or equivalent experience
3-5 years successful track record in peer to peer fundraising or equivalent sales background. 4-6 years preferred.

Knowledge, Skills and Abilities:

Develops and demonstrates skills in community organization, relationship building, talent identification and leadership development
Excellent written and verbal communication, presentation and interpersonal skills
Demonstrated success in the development and promotion of fundraising events or similar, while working with others to accomplish goals
Demonstrated success in the development and implementation Walk/run/bike events preferred
Demonstrated ability in handling multiple priorities, project management and meeting deadlines with strong planning and organizational skills
Ability to manage large numbers of volunteers at different levels of expertise with diplomacy. Demonstrated expertise recruiting and managing volunteers preferred.
Demonstrated ability to form and develop corporate relationships and partnerships programs. Ability to work with diverse communities and demonstrate inclusion.
Ability and willingness to work occasional evenings and weekends as needed for the job.
Ability and willingness to travel up to 70%.  Most travel is same day within the assigned territory, with occasional overnight travel.
Ability to bend, stoop, lift, and transport up to 25lbs of materials
Must have valid driver's license, access to a reliable vehicle, proof of insurance and good driving record
