The Talent Acquisition Specialist will be a key contributor to the advancement of talent attraction, sourcing, acquisition, assimilation, and pipeline development at MTD. The professional in this role will manage all recruitment processes and employment programs.

Essential Duties:

Partner with the HR Director, Talent Acquisition Manager, HRBPs and Senior Leaders to...

understand and guide the recruiting efforts in alignment with the strategic staffing needs of the organization

establish a 'build vs. buy' strategy for key positions in the organization

create talent planning and pipeline strategies

 Lead the execution of talent planning and pipeline strategies through the talent acquisition function.

Partner with the Talent team to identify and implement leading edge talent attraction and sourcing best practices.

Manage the full life cycle recruiting processes from attraction through onboarding.

Identify and apply methods for ensuring diversity and inclusion criteria are built into the talent sourcing process.

Participate in sourcing meetings and continue to educate hiring managers on talent planning vs. traditional recruiting.

Lead the effort to use Career Fairs and other events as a strategic talent sourcing tools.

Lead candidate/interview debrief meetings for assigned.

Manage the new hire orientation and onboarding programs.

Build and continually enhance relationships with internal hiring managers and external partnerships to include community contacts, college officials and local professionals.

Manage the daily requisition report for managing approvals

Manage the effective and efficient progression of internal and external candidates through the talent pipeline by leading the recruitment log status meetings.

Partner with the Corporate Communication Manager to build the employment brand and use social media to attract talent.

Manage the Co-Op and Intern programs for the corporate campus.

Assist, complete, and manage the Onboarding in Workday.

Support other Talent projects as needed.

Experience/Educational Requirements:

Bachelor's Degree in Business, Communication, Human Resources, Industrial Organizational Psychology, or other related field

3-5 years of experience in talent-related roles

Experience with ATS software and an HRIS system (Taleo & Workday preferred)

Strong working knowledge of Microsoft Office required (e.g. Outlook, Excel, Word, etc.)

Work Environment: Office

Travel: Up to 10% throughout North America
