Federal Information Systems Security Engineer I
Collaborate with internal and external stakeholders to analyze, define and validate functional and legal/regulatory system security controls and requirements
Apply knowledge of security principles, policies and regulations to design and engineer system security solutions that meet federal security requirements and reduce the clientas operational and security risks by applying risk management frameworks
Conduct security impact analysis and system risk assessments to identify potential security threats and recommend enhancements to improve deficiencies
Create and execute plans for system security testing, assessment and authorization for deployment
Implement system security solutions, perform ongoing performance audits and system maintenance and provide support for performance issuesA
Develop business continuity and recovery plans, processes and procedures in accordance with risk management framework and applicable security controls
Organize, develop and present security briefings, written summaries and reports and whitepapers related to computer and network security technologies and tools
At least 2 years total combined higher education and related work experience
At least years of Information security work experience
At lease 2 years of higher education and/or additional work experience directly related to the duties of the job including,
Bachelor's Degree in Information Systems, Computer Engineering, Computer Science, Software Engineering, Mathematics, or related field or equivalent relevant work experience.
Receipt of the appropriate government security clearance card applicable for your position
Due to the client contract, you will be assigned, this position requires you to be a U.S. citizen
At least 1 years of Federal Information Technology security work experience
Certified Information System Security Professional (CISSP) certification is preferred
Certified Ethical Hacker (CEH) certification is preferred
Certified Information Security Manager (CISM) certification is preferred
Willing to travel up to 20% as needed
Must be residing in or willing to relocate to Northern Virginia or live in a virtually approved city
