Responsible for the collection and analysis of budgetary data to support information requests and enable informed decision-making.
Perform system testing and maintenance related to budget transactions, position budgeting and other annual activities from the university's ERP budgeting modules.
Review and provide approvals on budget transactions with the ability to evaluate formulated budgets and associated justifications.
Research and report historical budget activity providing appropriate analysis and documentation.
Perform audits on budget transactions ensuring compliance and to formally document university activity.
Serve as the single point of contact to answer questions and resolve issues regarding budget activity. Provide supporting documentation for customer inquiries.
Lead trainings for system generated budget transactions and support new users in budget creation and maintenance.
Perform budget and financial analysis by demonstrating ability to extract, research, investigate, analyze, reconcile, and evaluate data.
Prepare financial projections using multiple forecasting scenarios.
Analyze data to ensure consistent application of financial policies and procedures.
Review, analyze and monitor revenue and expenditures as needed to ensure within expected levels. Make recommendations when budget adjustments may be necessary.
Identify potential issues and initiate corrective action to ensure accurate and appropriate reporting.
Maintain Office of Budget Management website by creating and updating content.

Bachelor's Degree must be in Accounting, Business, Business Administration, Finance, or related field.
Five (5)years of relevant work experience and/or other specialized training can be used in lieu of education requirement.
One (1) year of relevant experience.
Additional Qualifications Considered
Familiar with standard concepts, practices and procedures within the field of finance, budget planning and accounting, preferably in a higher education setting.
Experience with SAP.
Proficient in Microsoft Office Suite (Excel, Access, Word, Outlook).
Ability to write clear, technical and user documentation for use by multiple audiences.
Experience with information technology lifecycle in order to request, test and implement changes in software and business processes.
Ability to provide training/demo reports to all levels of computer experience.
