Responsibilities for Procurement Legal Advisor within the Key Procurement Department include: The ability to understand and negotiate standard procurement agreements, provide advice regarding regulatory compliance and legal requirements that pertain to procurement agreements, participate in procurement negotiations, assure that the desired business and legal terms and conditions are captured and contained in the agreement, ensure that the agreements appropriately address Key's risk tolerances, work closely with internal risk partners and internal clients to assure business/regulatory needs are met, and provide legal counsel primarily to procurement strategists. The ability to work in a fast paced environment with multiple deadlines.
Bachelor's Degree, Juris Doctorate
License to practice law and in good standing
2-5 years of relevant experience
Proficient in researching, drafting, and negotiating legal agreements
Good written and communication skills
Ability to work independently
Ability to understand and work within the business, compliance, and regulatory environment associated with procurement and the financial services industry
Ability to develop technical, legal, and business knowledge in relevant areas, and willingness to develop cross-functional knowledge
Ability to organize information, recommend solutions, communicate, and collaborate with legal and business professionals
Knowledge of financial services industry and regulatory environment
Knowledge of commercial law and procurement/supply chain processes
Ability to work in a fast paced environment
Attendance at continuing legal education seminars and professional forums that provide timely information on developments in the industry
