The Marketing Manager, Applications Development Manager will identify, evaluate, and prioritize key platform technologies that Corporate Technology needs to focus on for development. Using core marketing techniques such as market segmentation, voice of customer, and value proposition creation, the Manager will vet technologies for commercial viability. The Manager will be responsible to quantitatively analyze ongoing projects within the Corporate Technology by creating Scorecards and Stage-Gate processes. Additionally, the candidate will ensure ongoing timely communications with BU teams on prospecting and developing relationships with customers/markets. He/ She will also be a center of communication between various Technology teams located within the US as well as globally.
ESSENTIAL DUTIES & RESPONSIBILITIES:
Create Project Scorecards to rate ongoing and new projects, and update them on a monthly basis.
Drives collaboration and cross-functional teamwork.
Assists with development of Corporate Technology's strategic plan by identifying and segmenting key target markets, and defining key commercial drivers and value propositions.
Works closely with BU marketing and sales teams to vet technologies with potential customers in target markets.
Works directly with commercial teams on prospecting and developing relationships with identified key Avient customers.
Actively drive both internal and external collaborations, identify areas of synergies.
Monitor and help grow sustainability initiatives within Corporate Technology.
REQUIRED KNOWLEDGE, SKILLS AND ABILITIES:
7+ years of relevant work experience in marketing, customer engagements, technology.
Bachelor's degree in marketing, business, engineering or related field.
Strong understanding of Business and Project Management tools.
Proven analytical skills and problem-solving attitude.
Ability to articulate and tie data to business strategy.
Strong communication skills (verbal and written); both technically deep and business savvy enough to interface with all levels and disciplines within the organization.
Ability to design and build effective executive-level presentations.
Ability to manage competing priorities through solid project management competencies and decision-making skills.
Entrepreneurial mindset, with passion to drive progress in high potential opportunities.
Exceptional proficiency with Microsoft Office including PowerPoint, Excel, and Word.
