Increase productivity and decrease manufacturing costs through process improvement initiatives, production equipment modification, material re-engineering, manufacturing flow optimization and other innovative solutions while maintaining an accident free workplace.

Essential Duties and Responsibilities:

Full ownership at the manufacturing site of advance preparations for any capital deployments

Works with assigned Project Engineer to ensure flawless execution from SAT through commissioning by working with operations and Process Engineering to ensure on time and effective steady state operation

Assist engineering team in managing capital budget projects as well as expense projects at site level

Uses analytical and logical approach to determine root cause of mechanical or processing problems or challenges.

Collaborates with external or internal resources to achieve desired solution(s).

Responsible for collaborating with site operational excellence teams in identification and execution of process improvements and productivity initiatives

Confers with management and general staff to implement plans and recommendations

Provide ongoing input to Engineering & Operations for standardization of all future machines across all product lines for software, hardware, and programming.

Provide consultative assistance to Maintenance Department with installation, troubleshooting, and debugging equipment and systems.

Collaborate with Packaging Engineer in support of R&D projects and special product trials for growth and customer needs.

Act as a liaison between site operations and the Engineering organization

Prepare correspondence, reports, charts, presentations, and training as needed.

Education and/or Experience:

Bachelor's Degree in Engineering

5 years of technical/engineering experience with increasing responsibility in a manufacturing environment.

Continuous Improvement - Lean / Six Sigma experience strongly preferred

Language Skills:

Must be capable of speaking, reading, and writing English

Ability to read, analyze and interpret general business periodicals, professional journals, technical procedures, or governmental regulations.

Ability to write reports, business correspondence, and procedure manuals

Ability to effectively present information and respond to questions from groups of managers, clients, customers, and the general public.

Mathematical Skills:

Must be capable of performing addition, subtraction, multiplication and division calculations.

Ability to work with mathematical concepts related to mechanical design.

Ability to apply concepts such as geometry, trigonometry, fractions, percentages, ratios, and proportions to practical situations.

Reasoning Ability:

Ability to solve practical problems and deal with a variety of variables in situations where only limited standardization may exist.

Ability to interpret a variety of instructions furnished in written, oral, diagram, or schedule form.

Computer Skills:

Must be computer literate and efficient in the use of Microsoft Office programs - required

AutoCAD Software experience - required

Solid Edge experience - preferred

Knowledge of electrical controls systems - preferred

Certificates, Licenses, Registrations:

Valid driver's license and ability to be insured required

Employee will be working in a variety of environments including office, manufacturing and warehouse in order to perform the essentials functions of the job.

Travel to multiple sites may be required (see travel requirements.)

Travel Requirements:

The employee may be asked to travel for periods of time to multiple locations including customer sites, trade shows, other PAC facilities, etc.

Must be able to fly both domestically and internationally and able to obtain a valid passport.

Must be able to drive for long distances if required in an automobile or other mode of transportation.
