Position Description

The Director, Solution Design supports the growth and customer retention goals of CoverMyMeds through a variety of strategic and tactical client solutions-oriented activities. The Director, Solution Design leads a team that regularly interfaces with current and prospective partners, sales, product management, operations and other key internal teams to deliver patient support solutions aligned to the unique needs of the Specialty Pharmaceutical, Pharmaceutical Services and Bioscience industries.

Key Responsibilities

1. Team Leadership: Lead a team of solutions engineers and consultants directly supporting the CoverMyMeds sales team including, but not limited to supporting day-to-day activities, delegating assignments, developing team skills, establishing baseline goals, and motivating the team. Assist the team with client meeting preparation including disease state and drug knowledge, competitive and market intelligence, feasibility consultations, project scope consultations, provider and patient insight, and solution evaluation. Consult across internal and external networks to provide additional insight to aid the team in developing client solution recommendations.

2. Client Engagement: In conjunction with the sales team, prepare and present solutions to prospective and current clients providing product expertise and recommendations based on knowledge of disease state dynamics and solutions available. Participate in general customer capabilities discussions, solution discussions, sales pitches and building ongoing customer relationships utilizing industry expertise to aid in educating client on best practices as well as uncovering latent needs to support their customer base.

3. Solution Strategy and Roadmap: Continued innovation of solutions utilizing in-depth knowledge of CoverMyMeds service offerings, industry trends, disease state knowledge, healthcare landscape, legislative impacts and the competitive environment.

Identify gaps in available solutions and work in conjunction with product management, operations, and client management to make recommendations for industry-leading solutions beneficial to current and prospective clients.

4. Industry Presence: Regularly engage in targeted activities designed to identify new clients and promote the CoverMyMeds value proposition and capabilities. This includes but is not limited to, collateral preparation, consultant meetings, trade show attendance, exhibiting, etc.

Minimum Requirements

Typically requires 12+ years professional experience and 4+ years management experience.

Critical Skills

8+ years progressive leadership experience in patient support services, business development, specialty pharmacy, or other relevant pharmaceutical industry services.

Previous experience effectively coaching and managing a team responsible for supporting sales initiatives

Previous experience in a client facing role supporting a sales team with unique sales solutions, proposal support, client engagement, and industry knowledge.

Experience in the specialty healthcare or pharmaceutical segment with understanding of healthcare continuum and relationship between manufacturers, providers, patients, and payers

Strong industry specific knowledge, including demonstrated knowledge of patient journey, prescriber practices, reimbursement, specialty pharmaceutical, and pharmacy distribution trends and practices.

Strong business acumen of specialty commercialization and buying process including third party logistics, brand support services, clinical support services, consigned pharmacy, specialty pharmacy, in-office dispensing, and retail pharmacy.

Excellent collaboration skills and ability to influence others; ability to build credible relationships with remote peers, multiple business units, management teams, business partners, current and prospective clients.

Proficiency with CRM Software such as Salesforce.com and Microsoft Office Suite, including PowerPoint.

Exceptional written and verbal communication skills

Ability to function independently, demonstrate flexibility, as well as the ability to work effectively with internal and external teams

Critical thinking, analytical and problem-solving skills

Education

Degree or equivalent.

Physical Requirements

General office environment.

This position is remote (work from home) with the ability to travel.

Travel of 30% required.
