The Project Manager, ME Portfolio Management, owns and manages the high-level portfolio strategy for the ISC Manufacturing Engineering organization

This position requires self-initiative, ownership, excellent listening skills, responsiveness, collaboration, portfolio road mapping and governance leadership, time management, communication and business acumen. This position will be responsible for managing multifunction efforts to plan & govern an enterprise roadmap delivery. Global collaboration and program management leadership will be needed.

Business Group: Integrated Supply Chain (ISC)

Scope of responsibilities:
Functional

Collaborate with many internal stakeholders globally to plan a forward looking project portfolio aligned with the strategy & reporting to senior leadership
Responsible for governance of the overall scope, schedule and budget of the portfolio
Manage and develop business processes that enable adoption of project management best practices within Manufacturing Engineering
May apply complex and advanced project management and scheduling techniques.

Leadership/Interpersonal

Serves as the primary ISC ME interface with other Rockwell Automation functions and entities for portfolio activities.
Leads cross-functional projects and coordinates activities with support teams and other functions.
Influence change and process improvements within ME, developing methods and systems for tracking project progress and present progress updates to directors and VPs.
Supports an environment conducive to successful team interaction.
Ability to work independently and in a project team environment.
High energy and enthusiasm.

Business

Responsible for the plan, structure, schedule and staffing for projects which are of significant and strategic importance to the corporation.
Complete responsibility for successful outcome of projects.
Establish, capture and report on metrics to measure value realization and facilitate scorecard reporting
Develop business metrics for assigned programs and projects to track performance relative to business goals and success criteria.

Minimum Qualifications:
Bachelors in Engineering or Business discipline; further education in business administration, operations, or project management is a plus.
Minimum five years' experience in manufacturing operations or engineering with project management experience.
Excellent communication and presentation skills and the ability to express thoughts logically and succinctly.
Comfortable presenting at leadership (VP) readouts
Excellent negotiation and influencing skills, with proven ability to gain buy-in from stakeholders.
Very good conflict resolution and people interface skills.
Self-starter and possesses flexibility to work in a fast-paced environment, with ability to succeed amidst ambiguity.
Ability to work with cross-functional teams and develop process that drives scale.
Bold & willing to challenge status quo
Strong coordination and negotiation skills to help keep the team focused and delivering consistent value
Serve as a change agent to unify the organization towards common objectives and outcomes (within the program setting) and drive adoption

Desired Qualifications:
Possesses product, process and technology knowledge relevant to manufacturing operations.
Experienced with portfolio and program management framework tied to road mapping, budgeting, business case, governance and value realization
Project Management Professional (PMP) certification or equivalent is desirable.
Sixty hours of formal PMI based Project Management training is an advantage.
Understanding of ISC's business practices (roles, finance, strategy, etc.).
Seek out and embrace relevant perspectives when assessing a situation or deciding; demonstrate clear understanding of multiple viewpoints.
Embraces a culture of trust, free thought and complete transparency
Possess critical competencies as defined in the Project Manager Competency Profile.

Travel:
Depends on location of the projects.
During project initiation phase, less than 10%
During execution / implementation in another location, more than 25%
