The Hilton Columbus/Polaris is currently seeking a motivated and experienced Full Time Line Cook for our 254 room, full service AAA Four Diamond hotel located in the vibrant Polaris community. Your role as a Line Cook would be essential as you would be responsible for preparing and cooking delicious food for our valued guests in accordance with the high standards set forth by Hilton and our management company, Crescent Hotels and Resorts. What would I be doing?
To be successful in this role the ideal candidate will need to have flexible availability, a passion to prepare and serve excellent food and a strong work ethic. This role will primarily work 2nd shift with the flexibility of covering some mornings as well.

As an experienced Line Cook you would be responsible for:
Preparing food items in accordance with production requirements and quality standards while maintaining a safe, sanitary work environment. Start food items that are prepared ahead of time, making sure not to over prepare estimated needs. Date all food containers and rotate as per Crescent standards, making sure that all perishables are kept at proper temperatures. Check pars for shift use, determine necessary preparation, freezer pull and line set up. Note any out-of-stock items or possible shortages. Assist in setting up plans and actions to correct any food cost problems, control food waste, loss and usage per Crescent standards. Operate, maintain and properly clean deep fryer, broiler, stove, steamer, food processor, mixer, slicer, oven steam table, tilt kettle, waffle iron and flat top grill. Comply with attendance rules and be available to work on a regular basis. Perform any other job related duties as assigned.
REQUIRED SKILLS AND ABILITIES:
Must have the ability to communicate in English. Self-starting personality with an even disposition. Maintain a professional appearance and manner at all times. Must be willing to "pitch-in" and help co- workers with their job duties and be a team player. Ability to grasp, lift and/or carry, or otherwise, move goods weighing a maximum of 100 lbs. on a continuous schedule.
