Provides psychosocial assessment and intervention to assist patients and families with adjustment to health care needs.

Effectively communicates within the work team and collaborates with a multi-disciplinary approach.

Position Requirements:

Two (2) years' experience in a hospital setting desirable. Demonstrates strong interpersonal skills and excellent communication skills both written and verbal, as well as, exhibiting strong organizational skills and work ethic. Demonstrates a professional demeanor when responding to patients/customers.

Education Requirements:

Master's degree from an accredited school of Social Work

License Requirements:

Licensed by the State of Ohio Counselor and Social Work board at the LSW level; attainment of LISW status is encouraged within one year of eligibility

Preferred Qualifications/Position Details:

The Psych Emergency Access Center is the evaluation and transfer center for the psychiatric population in all of our entity emergency departments. The Social Worker performs direct evaluations to determine admission or discharge. Patients are seen in-person and via telemedicine. It is a very fast-paced environment as patients from all entities are seen within one hour of referral time.  The ideal candidate will be autonomous, reliable, a critical thinker, have a crisis background, have strong passion for the psychiatric population, and be a self-starter. The position is a day/night rotation, Monday-Friday with rotating weekends and holidays. Hours are 7:00am-7:30pm plus (1) 8 hour shift every other week; will rotate every 3-4 weeks but is flexible depending on the schedule. Another option is to work straight nights.
