IS Project Manager- IS Project Management Office

This position will primarily be responsible for managing medium to large-scale strategic projects. These strategic projects may involve all types of Information Technology (IT) solutions, operational changes, process changes, and organizational change. The Project Manager will perform project management for new system implementations, large-scale upgrades of existing systems, special focus projects requiring multiple resources and expertise from across the enterprise and any other IT-related projects which require a high-level of management and organization to be successful.

Will lead medium and large projects for the NCH Research Institute and Hospital.
May work under a complex program in support of another Project Manager.
Responsible for core project deliverables based on project size, effective management of resources, following standard PMO methodologies and approaches, knowledge sharing, and is open to giving/receiving feedback.




Bachelor's degree required, Master's degree desirable.
PMP certification desired.

Required Experience:

3-7 years' experience information systems management, project management, and systems implementations.
Completion of a structured project management training program required.

Preferred Experience:

Strong skills in the use of PC desktop applications such as Word, Visio, Excel, PowerPoint, MS Project, and SharePoint.
Proven experience in IT project management and systems implementations.
Completed medium sized projects/programs using Waterfall methodology.
Working experience using Agile methodology.
Previous healthcare experience desirable.
Ability to modify work schedules and practices to meet job requirements; requires occasional overnight travel.
