Job Description

Summary: The Onix Customer Success Team helps customers transform and evolve their business using cloud computing systems. As a Technical Account Manager in this rapidly evolving business, you will work with established customers to ensure their success in adopting cloud-based collaboration and communication tools.


Scope/Level of Decision Making: This is an exempt position operating under limited decision-making and supervision. Position performs a variety of assigned activities, referring more complex issues to the manager.


Primary Responsibilities: 

  • Manage and/or work with multiple customers simultaneously

  • Provide product expertise in cloud-based collaboration, portal, and CMS implementations

  • Provide extensive pre-release testing of new features, working directly with software vendors to provide feedback and drive solutions

  • Work with customers to test and gather feedback about new software releases

  • Provide enhanced technical support for ticket escalations to software vendors

  • Assist with change management activities aimed at growing adoption of cloud services

  • Capture product utilization and growth across business functions and geographic areas to show leading and lagging adoption metrics

  • Lead regular meetings with key executive stakeholders at customer sites to discuss strategy and priorities around using cloud computing tools to reach business goals

  • Be the customer’s voice with vendor product teams to advocate for new features

  • Identify opportunities for sales of additional Onix or vendor services

  • Continually learn Google Cloud features and how they can be integrated into successful enterprise solutions

Required Skills and Experience:

  • 3-5 years of experience serving in a customer support or account management role in a cloud computing environment

  • 5+ years experience with cloud-based messaging and collaboration applications such as Google Workspace or Office 365

  • 1+ year(s) experience with CMS systems such as WordPress, Joomla, Drupal, Jive, Sharepoint, or LumApps

  • Must have excellent communication skills and experience with presenting to senior management in a corporate environment

  • Experience with note-taking, meeting minutes, requirements gathering, and general documentation

  • Strong desire to be coached and mentored to develop professional, technical, and client-facing skills

  • An attitude of willingness to learn is essential

  • Must be a self-starter capable of independently producing strong work

Preferred Skills and Experience: 

  • Google Workspace Administration Certification

  • Some experience working with Google Workspace API’s

  • Web development, Javascript, Google Apps Script, Python

  • Experience working with Google Cloud Platform, AWS, or Azure


Education: Bachelor's Degree in Computer Science, Data Science, or a related discipline preferred but not required

Travel Expectation:  20% Domestic (US). 10% International
