Web Fed Flexo Printing Press Operator - Roll Press. Great work life balance. Hourly wage based on experience $23 to $27 hr. Start with 2 weeks of vacation!
Operates press and leads the overall product outcome associated with web flexo presses
Ensures that product is produced to customer requirements
Leads the press crew in all aspects of operation, housekeeping and crew maintenance processes
Assure product quality in a safe and efficient manner
Ensures that machines are running at the best possible speed while not sacrificing safety or quality
Leads the crew by example
Works to develop the assistant to be able to run the equipment with the same level of skill
Leads the press crew in the performance of equipment operations, adjustments, tests and conversions on all equipment associated with converting operations
Participates in maintaining department integrity to ensure quality, efficiency, area cleanliness, safety and SQF standards are maintained
Focuses on setting up the die-cutting station while the other crew members set up printer
Verifies and communicates both product standards and work standards to execute production
Have the ability to move to and operate other presses
Must cover absences and vacations as scheduled
Makes sure the other crew members are working on tasks when press is down
Participates in Continuous Improvement activities that improve the work centers performance
Is ultimately responsible for the quality and efficiency of the press on this shift
Performs other organizational duties as required by leadership
Experience - Previous web-fed flexo and platen die cutting experience preferred
Knowledge - Computer literate.
Skill Requirements - Must have good color vision, attention to detail, good communication skills, comfortable with computer applications including Excel and Word.
Skill Desirables - SAP, PEAK
Must have good attendance history
Abilities - Professional, good behavior, good attendance, ability to work in teams or alone and ability to motivate other team members
