To provide mechanical engineering support and oversee the safe, efficient, and cost-effective maintenance of physical assets within the constraints of the annual Business Plan assigned budget
Responsible for safe daily maintenance work activities, including work identification, scheduling, execution, and follow-up of all maintenance work at minimum cost
Responsible for coaching, people development, and enabling empowerment
Expand skill levels and motivation levels of hourly
Provide engineering support in order to assure safe and reliable operation with continual improvement of plant equipment and systems
Improve the conduct of maintenance in order improve equipment availability and reduce expenses
Provide technical and process support for daily maintenance of plant equipment
Ensure physical assets that contribute to business goals, particularly mission critical equipment, have established performance standards, asset reliability targets, and Equipment Maintenance Programs (EMP)
Ensure that EMP has the minimum work that must be done to have an asset consistently meet performance standards
Collaborate with operations technology, operations, maintenance, both hourly and salaried, to identify, plan and execute the right work at the right time at minimum cost
Develop and implement strategies for maintenance improvement
Develop job plans and coordinate maintenance work with operating departments
Develop and implement strategic predictive and preventive maintenance programs
Manage projects from start to finish; develop bid specifications; work with Procurement to develop job technical specifications; manage BLA Contracting Out issues
Respond to department maintenance problems for assistance
Provide technical expertise for operations and maintenance
Monitor rate of spending to ensure adherence to the MRF process while meeting annual Business Plan spending commitments
Ensure adherence to the Basic Labor Agreement and optimize employee efficiency
Maintains a working team-based relationship with operations supervisors and employees
High School Diploma with at least 2 years of industrial/manufacturing experience
2 years of experience in a maintenance, engineering, or operations position
2 years of experience in leading/coaching employees
Bachelor's Degree in Mechanical Engineering
5 years of industrial/manufacturing plant experience in a maintenance, engineering, or operations position
