Join Cardno's Science and Environment team in Indianapolis, Cincinnati and Louisville to play an integral role in providing ecological construction services.

Job Description:

Cardno is seeking a Project Manager - Ecological Construction to implement construction work in the ecological restoration fields. This position requires implementing a high quality product, interpreting construction plans/ specifications, adherence to Cardno's Health and Safety culture, management of subcontractors, client management and ensuring projects are built successfully on time and under budget. Position may require overnight travel.

Responsibilities include but are not limited to:

> Overseeing construction projects as a Project Manager or working closely with other Project Managers to implement projects

> Managing the overall budget

> Procurement of materials and equipment

> Managing construction schedule throughout duration of project

> Managing subcontractors

> Working with Operations Manager and other Project Managers for staffing needs
> Overseeing grading, placement of rock and water structures, native planting, seeding, erosion control installation, mowing, herbicide application and/or any other activities necessary for the implementation ecological restoration projects

> Managing and directing (as needed) construction supervisors and construction crew members in the field

> Conducting and attending preconstruction meetings, progress meetings, and other meetings as needed with clients and staff

> Conducting administrative duties such as producing project schedules, schedule of values, pay applications, RFI's, change orders and construction reports as needed
> Adhering to corporate policies, operate through the proper management channels, and act in the best interest of firm

> Construction Managers may be required to spend up to 1-4 nights per week out of town working at remote locations


> Bachelor's Degree or higher
> Minimum 5 years of experience in similar role
> Proficient at administrative duties associated with managing a construction project - schedule of values, daily reports, change orders and RFI's
> Good oral and written communication with clients and staff

> Professional Licenses or certifications are a plus

Technical Requirements:

> Wetland and stream mitigation/restoration experience
> Knowledge of environmental/ecological field restoration techniques

> Ability to operate survey equipment as necessary

> Construction scheduling software
