Because of our growth, we are seeking an experienced Geospatial Project Manager with our Energy Market.
Woolpert's Geospatial Project Manager will work directly with our Energy Market using technical geospatial knowledge to manage projects like Electric Utility Rebuilding and Expansion (lidar, photogrammetry, remote sensing), GPS Control Networks, and 3D Scanning, Mobile Mapping and UAS Services.
BA/BS degree in related field and a minimum of eight (8) years of related Project Management experience or ten (10) years of related experience, such as: Professional geospatial experience with aerial mapping, orthophotography, survey or lidar. / Experience with proposals (processes, bids, workflow) / Managing large projects and budgets, including writing technical proposals related to electric utility projects
Must have advanced geospatial technical industry and solution knowledge with lidar, imagery and CAD deliverables for the electric and gas utility industry.
Travel is anticipated up to 35%, as needed from an historical perspective.
Managing Geospatial Aerial Mapping; Imagery, Lidar, Remote Sensing, Surveying, PLS CAD, GIS, etc. projects.
Managing projects for the electric utility industry as a primary focus, and other infrastructure projects (gas utilities, renewables, water, transportation) as a secondary focus.
Interfacing, and building a portfolio, of energy clients is highly desired. To bring an existing network of client relationships
Representing and attending conferences
Managing project plans, risk management plans, start-ups and closeouts, including planning, record management, and traveling as appropriate
~80% project management, ~20% business development and administrative
Strong interpersonal skills, ability to work independently and in a team
Project planning, resource planning, risk management and reporting
Proven ability to take the initiative in finding solutions to complex challenges
Ability to develop and manage cross functional relationships
Previous experience in managing multiple clients and projects simultaneously
Ability to be certified in one of the following below highly desired, but not mandatory:
PMP Project Management Professional
ASPRS| Certified Photogrammetrist
ASPRS | Certified Mapping Scientist
GISP - Geospatial Information System Professional Certification
RPLS - Registered Professional Land Surveyor
