Position Description: Support local Community & Citizenship team and business unit leaders to implement and promote community outreach, programs, and events. Coordinate community service, Underrepresented Business Enterprise, Youth and Workforce Development programs, and other initiatives.
Reports to: Community & Citizenship Manager, Director, GM, or Business Development Manager
Essential Duties & Responsibilities:
Work in conjunction with Procurement Department to:
Administer and maintain Underrepresented Business Enterprise (UBE) program and communicate program to augment employee awareness and participation.
Coordinate and attend outreach events to encourage participation of UBEs, maximizing utilization for all projects.
Track and report business utilization metrics to ensure compliance, commitments, and goals are met.
Track and maintain records of prime subcontractors' UBE commitments.
Compile and maintain business unit directory of potential certified UBE bidders.
Actively engage with local, community, Federal, State, and City organizations that support and promote UBE programs.
Work with project staff to track first and second tier UBE participation on projects.
Collect and maintain records of assigned local resident and diverse Trade employees on projects.
Identify targeted opportunities for community partnerships; coordinate and promote employee engagement for activities.
Monitor local economic impact, social issues and trends to assist in development of Community & Citizenship plan.
Support RFP process, provide relevant information and assist in development of sales presentations.
Promote employee involvement in Community & Citizenship initiatives, reinforce positive culture and foster connectivity of Turner employees.
Other activities and duties as assigned.
Bachelor's or Associate's Degree from accredited and credentialed degree program and 3 years of related experience and/or training; or equivalent combination of education and experience.
MS Office (Excel, PowerPoint, Word), able to create presentations, charts, database management, and MS Outlook email and calendar programs, or similar applications.
Proficient with collaboration technology (Office365, SharePoint, Cloud Sharing, etc.).
Ability to work in non-structured environment, with minimal oversight, take direction without continuous follow-up, and work with multiple project teams.
Passion for community based programs with current or past volunteerism, or other community experience.
Energetic, hands-on, proactive, and continuous learner.

Effective business verbal and written communication skills.
