This position is responsible for providing assistance to our internal, cross-division customers to support their use of on-line systems (AOM, QAD, MMS, SWEEP, Coupa, etc.) Correspondence may be directly related to payment status information and timely problem resolution for invoices associated with purchases in our US and Canadian operations.
Interns are expected to develop good business relationships with the vendors and internal customers to minimize unexpected issues or delays in shipment due to non-payment. They will prioritize any action prohibiting the retail locations from "business as usual" such as utility shut-off's or delays, when applicable. Post-check correspondence can include past due or short paid invoices, repayments for pricing, quantity and item deductions and variances involving returned or damaged merchandise.
Will be responsible for being a part of our AP Hotline handling calls from stores and vendors.
Manage Accounts Payable process, including, but not limited to:
Processing and mailing daily checks.
Manage Internal Remedy Support tickets.
Issuing stop payments, cancelling checks, reissuing checks.
Help with escheatment mailings.
Assisting with team email boxes.
High School Diploma
Pursing a Bachelors or Master's degree in Accounting, Finance, or Business Administration with a focus in Finance or Accounting.
KNOWLEDGE & EXPERIENCE:
Strong PC skills and adaptability to new systems.
Strong Microsoft Office suite experience (Word, Excel) is preferred.
Strong written and verbal skills.
Organizational skills and ability to consistently meet deadlines without compromising the quality of work.
Ability to work as a team player in a large group setting.
Ability to learn quickly.
Flexibility to deal with changing duties and priorities.
