Quantech Services has an opportunity for a Systems Engineer III at Wright Patterson AFB, OH

RESPONSIBILITIES:

Develop, research, design, implement, test, and evaluate software and systems, in conjunction with hardware product development, by applying principles and techniques of computer science, engineering, and mathematical analysis. Excludes paraprofessional positions.

The successful candidate will perform work that applies a broad theoretical and practical knowledge of systems engineering to the acquisition process. This person will:

Conduct reviews on program portfolio to evaluate and/or recommend alternative plans, improve systems engineering programs/processes, manage/sustain program technical baseline, and design/perform system level tests to assure that subsystems and system performance is achieved in accordance with approved specifications
Perform program reviews to evaluate alternative proposed plans, systems engineering programs, design and test results to assure that subsystem and system performance is achieved in accordance with program specifications
Prepare technical documents which define, specify, and recommend system/subsystem characteristics. Prepare management reports and conduct technical presentations for planning, implementation and corrective action
Perform systems validation, including the development of criteria and procedures. Analyze and/or evaluate results of major engineering systems
Provide system/program engineering, technical support and technical training to support programs/ initiatives, including acquisition, development, integration, sustainment, continued evolution, deployment/fielding and installation, and operations
Provide engineering support services and inputs to program and project risk management activities in compliance with AF SEAM processes

QUALIFICATIONS:

Familiarity with DoDI 5000.75 for Business Enterprise Systems - Desirable
Certified SCRUM Master (other Agile certifications accepted) and/or working knowledge of the Agile Development Methodology - Highly Desirable
Strong experience related to design and implementation of Web based Business IT systems
Expert attention-to-detail & highly organized
Strong verbal and written communication skills are required
CompTIA Security+ CE Certification - Highly Desirable
Experience implementing Oracle ERP Solutions - Desirable
Familiarity with DoD (DISA) Information Technology Infrastructure Requirements - Highly Desired
Knowledge or experience with Cloud Computing technologies - Desirable
Familiarity with DevSecOps - Desirable



Job Requirements


SECURITY CLEARANCE:Secret

EDUCATION:MS or BS in Computer Science, Information Technology or similar

EXPERIENCE:12-15 years of experience, 5 of which must be in the DoD; or 20 years of directly related experience, 8 of which must be in the DoD.

Work EnvironmentThis job operates in a professional office environment. This role routinely uses standard office equipment such as computers, phones, photocopiers, scanners, filing cabinets and fax machines.

Physical DemandsThis is largely a sedentary role mostly sitting; however, some filing may be required . This would require the ability to move files, or boxes with file data, open filing cabinets and bend or stand as necessary, ability to lift up to 40lbs.

Mental Demands:Reading; communicate effectively (verbal and written); maintain emotional control and professionalism.
