Specialty Pharmacist - Per Diem

As a per diem nonexempt Comprehensive Pharmacy Services (CPS) Specialty Pharmacist, you will fill orders with accuracy; check technician-prepared products before release; maintain security of pharmacy and controlled substances; enter orders and patient information with accuracy; aid in the training of new staff; update the Director about the daily activities of the pharmacy; and aid the Director in maintaining the pharmacy.
Schedule: This position is scheduled to work at least two 8 hour weekday shifts per month and provides additional coverage for time off as needed/available; which could also be on short notice.
About the Facility: This hospital is a not-for-profit entity that is accredited by The Joint Commission. It is a regional health system consisting of two hospital locations in Gallipolis and Jackson, Ohio; multiple clinical locations; a comprehensive therapy and wellness center; a dental care facility; a variety long-term care entities including senior care and assisted living establishments in Jackson and Gallipolis; over 160 providers and more than 30 medical specialties and over 2500 employees. Comprehensive Pharmacy Services (CPS) has partnered with the hospital to manage the day to day operations of this pharmacy. This position is an employee of CPS.
About the Pharmacy: The Pharmacy is open Monday through Friday from 8:30am - 5:00pm.
Pharmacy degree (BS or PharmD) from an ACPE accredited school of pharmacy; PharmD preferred
Current Pharmacist license in good standing in Ohio
Experience as a Pharmacist in a retail or outpatient pharmacy setting preferred
Ability to work independently, set priorities, make critical decisions, and respond to client concerns
Demonstrated accuracy and timeliness in a work setting
Experience using computer applications including word processing, spreadsheets, and pharmacy information systems
Effective communications skills; verbal and written
