Part Time position with full time potential. For breakfast, lunch and Sunday brunch. Must be available weekends and holidays.
JOB OVERVIEW: Prepare food items in accordance with production requirements and quality standards while maintaining a safe, sanitary work environment.
ESSENTIAL JOB FUNCTIONS:
Prepare food of consistent quality following recipe cards and production and portion standards, per check from servers.
Start food items that are prepared ahead of time, making sure not to over prepare estimated needs.
Date all food containers and rotate as per Crescent standards, making sure that all perishables are kept at proper temperatures.
Check pars for shift use, determine necessary preparation, freezer pull and line set up. Note any out-of stock items or possible shortages. Assist in keeping buffet stocked.
Return all food items not used on next shift to designated storage areas, being sure to cover/date all perishables.
Assist in setting up plans and actions to correct any food cost problems, control food waste, loss and usage per Crescent standards.
Operate, maintain and properly clean deep fryer, broiler, stove, steamer, food processor, mixer, slicer, oven steam table, tilt kettle, waffle iron and flat top grill.
Comply with attendance rules and be available to work on a regular basis.
Perform any other job related duties as assigned.
Must exhibit a positive, friendly, helpful attitude toward fellow team members and guest.
Preparing all major food items, including all soups, vegetables, sauces, etc.
Employee will maintain control charts of all food items produced and be responsible for opening and closing checklists and production of daily menu items.
Other duties include being able to read and follow menus and recipes and compute basic mathematical calculations.
Must be available to work a flexible schedule and culinary school preferred.
Adhere to all prepared written recipes for all menu items.*
Report out of stock items to the Executive Chef.*
Prepare all sauces and all dishes for breakfast and lunch menus.*
Prepare all menu and featured items under the Executive Chef's direction.
Supervise and assist dishwashers and pantry personnel.
Perform dinner set-up duties according to the Prep List schedule.
Maintain health and sanitation standards.
Must have a knowledge of the English language to effectively communicate with guests, associates, and vendors.
Ability to scrupulously follow all hotel policies and procedures.
Attend required meetings.
Adjusts to high-pressure conditions and is open to change. Actively listens to others.
Conveys company information, decision, or problems to appropriate parties on a timely basis.
Works to resolve disagreements and is respectful of peers and co-workers.

Bonus paid as follows: After 30 days - $200 | After 60 days - $200 | After 90 days - $200 | After 180 days - $400
REQUIRED SKILLS AND ABILITIES:
Must have the ability to communicate in English.
Self-starting personality with an even disposition.
Maintain a professional appearance and manner at all times.
Can communicate well with guests.
Must be willing to "pitch-in" and help co- workers with their job duties and be a team player.
Finger/hand dexterity in order to operate food machinery.
Ability to grasp, lift and/or carry, or otherwise, move goods weighing a maximum of 100 lbs. on a continuous schedule.
Minimum pulling of 20 pounds.
High school education and relevant training and experience preferred.
CPR training and first aid training preferred.
Additional language ability preferred.
